Click Here to sign up NOW! Sunday, November 18th / Time 1:00-3:00pm Cost $60 in advance / $65 at the door. Co-Facilitated by Porsche Fischer (Ph.D, E-RYT 200) and Taylor Beardsall (M.Ed Art Therapist, RYT-200). CLASS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 8 PEOPLE.
"Look at a tree, flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in Being. Allow nature to teach you stillness."~Eckhart Tolle, Stillness Speaks. In this workshop we will engage our mind, body and creative spirit through movement and nature-based art making. Porsche Fischer will lead a dynamic "green yoga" flow focusing on how nature can influence your yoga practice, followed by therapeutic art making with Taylor Beardsall. Taylor will facilitate an eco-art therapy experience using dried and pressed flowers to create your own unique framed display using natural materials. This eco-art therapy experience will provide a deep sense of mindfulness and connection to nature. Engaging and creating with natural materials can foster a sense of grounding and peace. You will be guided through the process of intuitively connecting to the natural materials, and creating artwork that is personal and meaningful to you. Class includes yoga, art making and all materials. Feel free to bring in your own dried flowers if you would like! A portion of proceeds will benefit the startup costs for Solstice Healing Arts Collective - an art therapy and healing arts center coming to the metro Detroit area to provide therapeutic art and other creative healing services to the community. "There is new life in the soil for every man. There is healing in the trees for tired minds and for our overburdened spirits, there is strength in the hills, if only we will lift up our eyes. Remember that nature is your great restorer."~Calvin Coolidge
